Landscape Architect: Terra Firma Landscapes
During the summer of 2009, Scandor undertook the construction of three 'cut and fill' sports fields, and the development of a cricket pitch, within the parkland setting of this public school.
The original design was compromised by an unknown wartime (no records required) gas pipe which crossed the site and required some urgent recalculations of cut and fill to enable the three pitches to be constructed, albeit at new levels.
A September seeding was achieved and although the following spring was very dry, the grass has developed very well as you can see from the pictures.
Our client is very pleased with our performance and is looking forward to the pupils utilising the pitches from September 2010 as planned.
