Description of works:
Construction of a 5400m² landscaped Public Park with a kickabout space and children’s playground to serve a new housing development in the North Popley area of Basingstoke.
The works included:
- A cut and fill operation to adjust formation levels.
- Construction of timber hoarding to protect the works
- Instillation of conservation kerbs and setts.
- Construction of tarmac and bound gravel paths
- Construction of a playground and the installation of fencing, play equipment, safety surfacing with artwork insets, seating, cycle stands, litter bins and information boards.
- Construction of a mosaic bench and space monster feature.
- Turfing.
- Planting of large trees.
- Planting of shrubs.
